Ansel was born in El Paso, Texas, grew up a few miles from Southeast DC, and studied designin Richmond, Virginia. His ancestors include a cartographer, a decorator, a master carpenter, and probably a few vikings. Recent projects include a sign system for the Mississippi Museum of Art,helping Luck Stone re-invent its retail model, brand identity work and photography for Glavé & Holmes Associates, and photography and sign systems for the Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, NH.
